Emund Tan's Profile

Cars have always been a passion for Edmund Tan. At the tender age of 15, he started learning some basic automotive repair skills from his father (Michael Tan) in a small garage along Tanjong Katong road. Having gained a year of experience at his father's garage business, he decided to join MotorImage Subaru as an apprentice.

At 17, Edmund laid claim to a record of sorts. He was part of the team that put together the first two rally cars ever to be built in Singapore, with a group of experts from New Zealand and Japan. The project was to convert two standard production Subaru Impreza WRX vehicles into competition-ready “Group N” rally cars.

Edmund was also selected by his mentors to represent MotorImage Enterprises Pte Ltd in the World Skill Competition and the 4th Asia Technical Competition in the year 2008 and 2009 respectively. He was awarded the Bronze Medal for WSC.

Having been exposed to the Automotive industry at such a young age with an extensive background in Automotive repair work, Edmund has acquired vast knowledge of car diagnostics and repair.
